When the WWDC site in Bradley Road was turned into housing, £153,645 was promised for pre-school provision. Planners made the mistake of specifying it should go to a site at Clarendon School. The school though decided not to offer the site. Unsurprisingly the developers say that because the terms of the legal agreement can’t be kept they want the money back, which Wiltshire Council has no option but to agree.

So if you’re having trouble finding a pre-school place for your child in Trowbridge you know who to blame.
