Network Rail will be completing engineering work on the Sherrington Viaduct.

Rail replacement buses will be running on the following dates:

• Tuesday 24 December to Friday 24 January between Trowbridge and Salisbury, except Dec 25 and 26.

Teams will be refurbishing the viaduct that runs over the River Wylye. They’ll be strengthening the viaduct, as well as carrying out some painting and masonry work to the abutments and piers.

This work has been timed to coincide with the Wales and Western region’s upgrade work at Westbury station with the Southern region taking advantage of the closure to carry out additional improvement works.
