There were two police sessions on October 30. Here are the reports:
Speed Enforcement caught 11 vehicles speeding on 30 October 2024 in Staverton at New Terrace.
This stretch of road has a clearly displayed speed limit of 30mph. The fastest vehicle was captured travelling at 43mph. On the day in question, it was bright and roads were dry. Depending on previous convictions and history: –
10 drivers will be offered a speed awareness course
1 driver will receive a Fixed Penalty Notice and 3 points.

Speed Enforcement caught 17 vehicles speeding on 30 October 2024 (08:50 to 09:40) in Staverton at New Terrace.
This stretch of road has a clearly displayed speed limit of 30mph. The fastest vehicle was captured travelling at 44mph.
Depending on previous convictions and history: –
16 drivers will be offered a speed awareness course
1 driver will receive a Fixed Penalty Notice and 3 points.
I have been overtaken 3 times this week between the canal bridge and school lane where i live, the last speeder was aggressive in responding to my sounding of the horn in disapproval. why are there no official speed limit signs down this road which is now a racing track since the resurfacing was completed.
