Here are the results of the traffic counts in Holt.  The surveys were all carried out between 19/09/2018 and 28/09/2018.   They use the 85th percentile as a reference:  this is the speed at or below which 85% of the traffic is travelling.

Ham Green, East of Leigh Road:

 A total of 32223 vehicles were recorded. The 85th percentile was 27.12mph.  The average speed was 24.1mph.

The Street, near Ham Close:

 A total of 32908 vehicles were recorded. The 85th percentile was 26.62mph.  The average speed was 23.3mph.

The Street, East of Stillman Close:

 A total of 31758 vehicles were recorded. The 85th percentile was 31.48mph. The average speed was 27mph.

The Street, West of The Elms:

 A total of 31758 vehicles were recorded. The 85th percentile was 30.31mph.  The average speed was 26.3mph.

The Common, West of The Gravel:

 A total of 28811 vehicles were recorded. The 85th percentile was 29.86mph. The average speed was 24.7mph.

Wiltshire Council’s policy is not to do anything in areas where 85th percentiles are below 35mph in 30mph limits.
